After a year's absence, Tony Salinas is back as Red Sauce Rules! lead guitarist! A San Antonio native, Tony is a completely self-taught guitarist !"I was too lazy to learn the theory!" Tony remembers being fascinated watching his dad play electric and acoustic guitars at home. His folks bought him his first electric guitar in the 10th grade from a True Value Hardware store in Raymondville, TX while visiting family. "Looking back, I think that old Memphis Les Paul Studio copy looked a whole lot better than it sounded but at the time it was the coolest thing I had ever owned!"

Armed with his new Les Paul wanna-be he was asked to join a Christian band by a high school friend. Tony played with them for a few years before stopping to concentrate on his educational goals. He continued to play with other 'project' bands to keep the fingers loose but nothing that was serious enough to call work.

With graduate school out of the way, Tony had been looking for something more formal and musically serious to occupy his time and discovered Red Sauce Rules! And the rest is history! "The timing was perfect! When I had a chance to jam with the whole group it just felt so natural. They're an incredible bunch of musicians and they cover up my mistakes very well!"
